FAQ

How to wire a single-phase inverter to a motor?

  • Connect the power supply: connect the firewire (usually red or brown) of the single-phase power cord to the L1 terminal of the inverter and the zero wire (usually blue or black) to the L2 terminal of the inverter. Make sure the connection is secure and be careful not to short-circuit.
  • Connecting the motor: Connect the power cord of the single-phase motor to the output of the variable frequency inverter. Usually, the firewire of the motor is connected to the U terminal of the vfd inverter, and the zero wire is connected to the V or W terminal of the  (the specific connection may vary depending on the model of the inverter, please refer to the manual of the inverter).
  • Connect the control line (if necessary): if you need to use external control equipment (such as PLC, touch screen, etc.) to control the inverter, connect the corresponding control line to the control terminal of the inverter.
  • Connect the grounding wire: Connect the grounding wire of the inverter to the grounding terminal to ensure safe grounding.
  • Check the wiring: After the wiring is completed, carefully check whether all connections are firm and reliable to ensure that there is no miswiring or short-circuiting.
